Core Outer Unit Training
August 23, 2016 @ 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
You’re invited to attend fitness workshops with ICoHS Instructor Harris!
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm to 6pm in our Yoga studio, Harris will teach us different techniques and movements to emphasize core stability and balance.
Tuesday, August 23: Core Outer Unit Training
The outer unit consists of many muscles such as the Obliques externus, Obliques internus, Erector spine, Latissimus dorsi, Gluteus muscles, the Quadratus lumborum, adductors and hamstrings. The outer unit muscles have an important stability function when the body is under load (lifting weights) or during high-speed movements.
The outer unit controls the range of motion, generates movement and provides gross stability.
