"The school has changed me for the better in many ways and I'm truly grateful for it and all the new wonderful experiences and people in my life because of it. ICOHS, in many ways, helped me discover my worth as the amazing individual I am by surrounding me with the proper tools needed for my educational and personal growth. From knowledgeable teachers and staff members, to a loving and safe learning environment, ICOHS is an amazing school to attend for a potential career in Holistic Health."
"I would like to say THANK YOU for working with Be Relax San Diego on our recruitment for our 2 SPAs at the San Diego International Airport. We currently have 4 massage therapists (names removed for privacy) who graduated from School of Healing Arts that Veronica so graciously introduced to me. I am absolutely thrilled by their work ethic and performance. I have interviewed several other candidates and found School of Healing Arts Alumni to be superior. I am happy that we have built a strong and rewarding relationship that I hope lasts throughout our business lifetime. Keep up the good work in educating the future of Massage. Thanks again for all you do for us!"
"I moved to Pacific Beach, San Diego about two years ago from the Northeast; I drove here from New Jersey and knew no one! The decision to try out this school was probably one of the best decisions I have made for myself; I've met a lot of wonderful, like minded people and reliable friends. This school is a little more than a school, it's like a healing community. I'm seeing that coming here set me on a positive life path."
ICoHS is a school for those who are looking and ready for change and challenges in the positive direction. The essence of this school is created by people who truly believe in what they are doing. They help others by giving them the knowledge needed to heal themselves and grow as a whole and complete being through natural and non-invasive techniques. ICoHS has helped me become more comfortable with my own body, and to understand more deeply what holistic health means.
At 28, I was totally physically disabled with Fibromyalgia. I found myself facing a life of pain, medications, disability and a condition that, according to the doctors, would only worsen. I found that the more bodywork I was giving, or receiving, the better I felt. My inspiration comes from knowing that when students apply what I share with them, their lives can move in a positive healing direction. ICoHS is the right place for me to share and teach because this is where I learned; it is because of this school that I healed. By teaching here for two decades, I am giving back.
“The learning environment accommodates all learning styles. There is lecture, visual demonstration, hands on, and the instructors are always right there to show you if you need more. Other schools have one way of teaching and if you don’t acclimate to it, you don’t pass. This school really wants you to pass and its obvious that that’s a big goal of theirs.”
“Again, I feel like I have been exposed to a ton of great information! It has inspired me to take better care of myself. And I find that I want to help other people feel and live better, too.”
“The teachers are all very unique and have their own individual great qualities. In particular I have really appreciated how Karen Zlatic cares for people. I appreciate Hugo’s huge range and depth of knowledge, and his professionalism. And I appreciate John Economo’s approach to body work, and his comfortable, easy teaching style.”
“The instructors know you by first name and remember your name whether you are in their class or not. It is a friendly familial environment. We students have a bond or connection with one another whenever we have a small conversation whether we meet in the hallway, bathroom, or parking lot.”
“I loved the fact that the instructor were from different professions in life. This gave a full experience of the class.”
“Flexibility of the schedule and courses. Being able to do as little or as many classes as I like over any period of time. I love it that we get a phone call to remind us of upcoming classes. It is very very helpful!”
“I thought the curriculum and the instructors were, and probably still are, phenomenal.
“Seymour, I have to say THANK YOU for all your attention during the day course. I was the woman you “read” as a demonstration.. You impressed me with your intuitive knowledge of all my health issues.
I went into your course with total disbelief, only being there to see if I could understand the oriental way of thinking better… to see if I could understand the energy flow.. The courses I have taken so far have confused me beyond belief… But you made it sink in for me… Seeing it thru your eyes made me understand it, realize it..and again thank-you.”
With a smile,
“I strongly recommend Seymour’s Chi video and the ideas in his book ‘Food for Life’. I had been off work due to a concerning issue affecting my digestive system, neck and back. I spent a year trying several radical diets, supplements, exercise regimens, and medical testing and then finally asked for his recommendations and travelled to the School of the Healing Arts in San Diego. I honestly did not expect that something as simple as Chi exercises and slight dietary changes would yield such positive results. After three months working diligently and combining his recommendations with other positive, nurturing supports, I was able to restore enough strength in my body to comfortably work four days a week. I hope to be back to full-time in less than a month. It has taken serious commitment but worth the effort. If you decide to try the video, I suggest paying considerable attention to his direction, making sure you feel physically comfortable, and also to noticing how your body is able to support itself through the poses.”
