Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students
On March 27, 2020, the federal government enacted the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”). The CARES Act includes a Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (“HEERF”). A portion of HEERF funds must go directly to eligible students in the form of emergency financial aid grants for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 crisis (“HEERF Student Share Grant Funds”).
The institution is making the below information accessible for transparency purposes and in compliance with the U.S. Department of Education’s (“Department”) Electronic Announcement of May 6, 2020. On June 5, 2020, ICOHS College signed and returned to ED the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.
Pursuant to the Certification and Agreement, ICOHS College is eligible to receive up to $20,964in HEERF Student Grant Funds. While ICOHSCollege has received confirmation of the availability of these funds, the College has drawn down the available funds.
As of the date of this submission, the College has not distributed any HEERF Student Grant Funds. As of June 18, 2020, the College finalized a policy regarding the HEERF Student Grant Funds. The College expects to be able to distribute funds beginning on July 27, 2020.The total number of students who will receive an emergency financial aid grant under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of the date of this Fund Report is 33.
The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, and thus eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act, as of the date of this Fund Report is 33.
The methods used by the institution to determine which students receive emergency financial aid grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act are provided at Attachment A.
Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the emergency financial aid grants are provided at Attachment B.
Financial Aid staff confirmed all active students at ICOHS College met the following criteria:
ICOHS College used the following allocation method to distribute an even amount award to all students who were actively enrolled as of March 13,2020 and have successfully completed a 2019-2020 FAFSA.
Eligible students will be sent an award letter outlining how the school determined their eligibility, how much they are eligible for and how funds should be used.

The U.S. Department of Education has made Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students of our institution who need financial support for their expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to Coronavirus. ICOHS College has use the allocation method to distribute an even amount award to all students who had an active enrollment as of March 13. 2020 and have successfully completed a 2019/2020 FAFSA.
Each Title IV recipient will be eligible for only one grant disbursement which will be sent in the form of a physical check to the address on file.
Based on you applying for the application 2019/2020 FAFSA, it has been determined that you are eligible for a grant in the amount of$676.26.
By accepting this check, you attest that the one-time Emergency Financial Aid Grant will be used to help cover the cost of expenses incurred due to the Coronavirus pandemic. You understand that the administration of the school has determined the eligibility for grant monies based on the 2019/2020 FAFSA.
