We are committed to help you navigate through the financial aid process. Eligibility for financial aid is established through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Continued financial aid eligibility is based on financial need and satisfactory academic progress. Once we have evaluated a family’s ability to contribute, ICOHS College offers a financial aid package that may include grants and loans.
Steps to Financial Aid
1. Complete the FAFSA
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA
) is the first step in applying for financial aid
. You will need to create an ID prior to filling out the FAFSA. Student Aid

2. Schedule an Appointment with the Financial Aid Counselor
Our Financial Aid Counselor is here to guide you through the process of the financial aid that is available to you, in your appointment you will be walked through all steps of completing your financial aid paperwork and you will also receive an Estimated Financial Aid Award Letter. If you are accepting the aid, and it includes student loans and are a first time borrower, you will need to complete the online entrance counseling here

3. File will be Processed
During this time, we will be communicating with you via email or phone.Please allow 2-3 weeks to review all paperwork.
VA Financial Assistance: How Do I Apply?
1. Complete the Application
Complete the Department of Veterans Affairs application
to determine your benefits. Be sure to list which program you are interested in pursuing at ICOHS College.
2. Notify the SCO
Once an approval and VA Certificate of Eligibility COE (for first time applicants) is received, please notify the School Certifying Official (SCO) at 858.581.9460 so that we may certify your enrollment with the Veterans Administration.
For previous applicants please complete VA Form 22-1995 Change of Place of Training Form. Once an approve and New VA Certificate of Eligibility COE is received, please notify the School Certifying Official (SCO) at 858.581.9460 so that we may certify your enrollment with the Veterans Administration. Please note: School Certifying Official (SCO) will also need copies of unofficial transcripts for all previous schools attended.
4. Meet the SCO
Please note you will also need to meet with the School Certifying Official (SCO) to complete additional forms needed prior to your certification of benefits.

Only Chapter 35 students must verify monthly enrollment with the VA in order to receive their monthly payment. Typically, students can either call the VA or verify online. Start your education today by visiting vets.gov
