Ben Mead

Ben Mead joined ICOHS in 2020 supporting and providing structure in transitioning classroom-based IT and cybersecurity courses to primarily remote learning. Ben believes that in developing others in IT and InfoSec to realize their potential this will improve our community, the IT industry and make a safer internet. Ben came onboard during the difficult COVID shutdown, when all of the courses were thrown online. Ben consistently receives rave reviews from students who are thrilled with Ben’s “hands-on” approach while working online.

Ben teaches multiple technology courses including Certified Ethical Hacking and Windows Server to prepare students to take the CompTIA and Microsoft certification exams. Ben has over 18 years of progressive professional engineering and IT leadership experience in the healthcare, biosciences, finance and government industries.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems Security. Ben holds certifications such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with (ISC)², ITIL, Microsoft and more. He is passionate about cybersecurity and technology. He is an active member of InfraGard, a partnership between the FBI and members of the private sector.
