What is CCNA?

A CCNA certification helps validate an IT professional’s skills and knowledge in network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security systems, automation, and programmability. It is an associate-level certification.

Cisco Certification Training Levels and Paths

Cisco offers certifications at four different levels: entry, associate, professional, and expert.

The entry-level certification validates individuals as a Cisco Certified Technician. It offers three different concentrations: collaboration, data center, and routing and switching.

The associate-level certifications include DevNet Associate,  CyberOps Associate, and Network Associate Certification, or CCNA.

Professional-level certifications are available in seven areas: enterprise, data center, security, service provider, collaboration, CyberOps, and DevNet.

Expert-level certifications are also available in seven areas: design, enterprise infrastructure, enterprise wellness, data center, security, service provider, and collaboration. These credentials can help IT professionals further their careers by demonstrating advanced hands-on knowledge and skills.
